German company 3A Composites, which invented the aluminum composite material and produces it under its own brand ALUCOBOND for almost fifty years, has updated the technical portal Extranet. Its task is to simplify the design process and give architects, designers and processors an exhaustive idea of ​​the possibilities of the original aluminum composite panels from Germany.

The section in which digital templates – shaders – of all actual colors and textures ALUCOBOND are collected, is intended to help architects and designers in creating realistic visualizations. Shaders are available for download in most popular formats, you only need to choose the one suitable for the design system with which you are working.

Also on the portal you can download ready-made BIM-models of standard facade constructions ALUCOBOND – here the choice of formats is even wider. Teaching videos step by step explain how to integrate shaders and BIM models in ArchiCAD and Autodesk Revit.

Particular mention deserves a section EasyStatix – a set of tools for preliminary calculation of wind loads and subsystems of fastening. Access to it is available to regular partners of 3A Composites on request.

The program allows you to calculate the maximum format of the ALUCOBOND panels, the fixing step and the gain scheme, taking into account the given panel thickness and the corresponding wind load. Data is provided for different types of fastening. It is also possible to calculate specific values ​​of the wind load for individual zones of the facade taking into account the dimensions of the building.

A significant block of the portal is a selection of albums of typical design nodes. Detailed drawings for different types of mounting and applications are available for download in two formats – PDF and DWG. This section is complemented by a collection of video materials and animation clips that in detail demonstrate not only the basic fixing methods, but also the possibilities of recycling the ALUCOBOND panels: sawing, bending and rolling, contour cutting and perforation, riveting and screws, edging and much more.

Also on the portal there is a section with permissive documentation – certificates and technical certificates, including in Russian.

The ability to download shaders, BIM-objects, instructions and other materials appears after a simple registration on the portal. So far, two languages ​​are available: English and German.
