Eveno-Bytantaisky district: acquaintance with the village of Jargalah

It happened that my business trips are too fast and in a very busy schedule. Find the time to discuss with a cup of tea all the pros and cons of living in the north, rarely. In the Eveno-Bytantai district it turned out. So there were the circumstances that I had to return from Jarghalakh to Sakkyrir (which is 2 and a half hours drive), pick up the hero of our program, Mikhail Kolesov and again go to Jarghal. And the head of the legacy Lev Gorokhov took me back to Sakkyryr. During all the time, it was possible to find out a lot of details.

Jargalah is one of the three villages that make up the Eveno-Bytantai district. I note at once that the smallest. 250 people, mostly old people, yes children. No production, much less innovation. The village lives in the budgetary sphere: administration employees, teachers, educators.

There is no boiler room. The main pain of the villagers. Her promise to build a lot, many years. True, now the promises are over, in the next three years there will be no boiler house. Here also it is necessary to the inhabitants of Djargalakh to further heat their houses with firewood. By the way, in order to winter, it is necessary to purchase 4 firewood machines for 20 cubes. The cost of one is 15,000 rubles. Money is not small, but winters are very harsh. If you want, you do not want to, and you’ll have to buy firewood.

There is no bakery in Jarghalah. A long time ago. Mistresses are forced to bake bread themselves, at home. The woman here is generally entrusted with a very important function: to keep the house warm, to bake bread, to drag water, because there is no water pipe either.

There are no shops in Jarghalah. Official. Products are bought at home. Since in the summer until Jaralah can be reached only by helicopter, the products are delivered by winter trucks from December to March. In June, food prices soar three times. Local people say that a two-liter cola is sold for 600 rubles. Usually by this time in stores can not be found: sugar, flour, sweets. All buy up the flight. In the winter kilogram of potatoes costs 260 rubles. They are also bringing her here. In Jarghalakh, the land is rocky and it’s simply impossible to grow your own.

There is no money in Jarghalah. Paper. All salaries and pensions come to Sberbank cards, which does not have a cash machine. You can withdraw cash only in Batagay-Alata, to which you can not reach for months. Pay here only by a mobile bank.

There are no gas stations in Jarghalah. Registered. And without fuel here anywhere. Buy gasoline from the so-called private traders. I was told that in recent years, under the agreement of Sakhaneftegazsbyt with the administration of the Even-Bytantai District’s estates, AI92 can be purchased from special suppliers for 57 rubles. Three years ago, here, too, fuel cost 150 rubles. And now, if you "refuel" from private traders, you will have to shell out from 100 rubles per liter.

But there are people in Jarghalah who love their land, no matter what. For the most part, these are the ancestors of the reindeer herders, the true Evens. Their harsh winter and hard work. Unique people, they are endemic, lived and live only in certain conditions. They are the main property of the Even-Bytantai district.
